'Showing/Hiding an item' helps the user to choose to show or hide number of items in a question.
To show or hide an item, click on properties (highlighted in red).
A pop-up will appear. Select row tab if you wish to show/hide row items or select column tab if you wish to hide column items.
Click on the variable (highlighted in red) will open a list of all the items (highlighted in green) that are available under this variable.
Select the item you wish to hide. Selecting will open its properties where user can uncheck the option 'Display'.
Once unchecked, the indicator dot will disappear against that item (highlighted in red).
The item 'Dominos' will now get hidden in the cross-tab and will not be visible any more.
To show this item again, user can again go to the properties and select the item you wish to show and simply tick on option display.
