When the user creates an analysis through Analysis wizard or Advanced analysis, Total is the default measure displayed for both rows and columns.

Users can choose to hide Total via the Properties tab of the cross-tab. Click on Properties for the cross-tab in which you wish to hide Total.

A pop-up will appear. Select the question/variable for which you wish to hide Total. You will see two Total toggles which you can click to view/hide the Total in your cross-tab. The smaller toggle allows you to select multiple row/column variables and hide total for them all at once. The bigger toggle for Total allows you to only hide Total for the selected row/column variable.

Note: The Properties window has two tabs Row and Column. If you wish to hide Total appearing as a row, you need to hide it from the Row tab and if you wish to hide Total appearing as a column, you need to hide it by going to the Column tab. In the scenario mentioned here, we are hiding Total displayed as a row.

Click on any of the Total toggles to hide your total for the selected variable. The total indicator dot will disappear.

Now click on Set. The Total will be removed from your cross-tab.

Follow the same steps in column tab to remove column total.
